International Women’s

Since 1993, Women for Women
International has empowered over 243,000 women survivors of war to move towards
economic self-sufficiency by providing financial and emotional support, jobs
and business skills training and rights and leadership education.
More and more studies show
that investment in women is the key to sustainable development: stronger women
build stronger nations. With adequate access to information and
resources, women can lead change towards peaceful and stable societies.
This year on International
Women’s Day, 8th March, we will launch our first global Join Me on the Bridge
campaign to amplify the voices of women in conflict and to promote their unique
potential for building bridges of lasting peace and security.
There will be Join Me on the
Bridge campaigns in Congo, Rwanda, Bosnia, Kosovo, Sudan and cities all across the UK, the USA and the world – together we will raise a global call
for peace!
